I can't believe I'm doing it! And yes - I am referring to motherhood, but also starting this blog 😜. I gave birth 3 months ago and from the very start was hoping to document my journey... I can't tell you the amount of times I've gone to start and then BOOM! baby is awake 👶. Here I am frantically typing as he sleeps, with pumps attached to me boobs plus a heat pack on the left due to nasty clogged ducts... but we'll leave that for another entry 😅.
Very short intro... I'm Nina, 30 years old, living in Perth, Western Australia, first time mum to a baby boy named Björn 🤗.
A woman in the park yesterday asked me if I was enjoying motherhood, I replied "Yeah I'm loving it!" she responded "really?!" .... I can honestly say I am loving it. That's not to say there haven't been hard moments and challenging days/nights! But overall, I have never felt more grateful and am completely overwhelmed with the love I feel for my baby. It's truly indescribable! I've had many moments of sitting on the couch holding Björn and crying happy tears (let's not discard those pesky postpartum hormones though 😜).
This blog will probably be a bunch of short bursts of random mumblings considering my brain is scattered 24/7 and Björn somehow senses every time I start to write and demands my attention 😆. I'd like to offer an honest insight into being a first time mum who is completely winging it in the hope that others may relate or even like to offer advice 🙌. To anyone reading, hello, and welcome!
